Mainly correspondence between Benjamin Knight and his family of Sun Prairie, Wis., with a cousin, Josiah L. Hale, Newburyport, Massachusetts, reporting to him on land and financial transactions, family matters, and early Congregational and educational affairs in Sun Prairie, including information on pioneer medical practices and the attitude toward eastern landholders. Some letters concern readjustments of Madison and Milwaukee municipal railroad bonds, mainly for 1866 and 1867.
